Wow… after only having our phones for three days, sophomore student Dawson Brinkman was playing “Clash Royale” IN CLASS! He was caught playing games in 3rd period biology. Because of the infraction, we lost the privilege to have the use of our phones. .
Here’s what some students think about our phones being taken away once again:
Jeffry Alsup said, “I THINK that it is sooo stupid. They should not punish every student for one person's actions. He should’ve gotten in trouble, not everyone else. The Principal told us that if no one had their phones taken, we would have phone privileges at breakfast and lunch. She never said that we could get them taken away, and most certainly never included that it could be taken away by just one person. The rule is unfair and absolutely absurd.”
David McDermott added, “I honestly don't really have an opinion, but I dont think it's fair to other students for one person to make a mistake, and our phones should be our lockers.”
Vaughn Arnold also noted, “I think that it's okay because kids need to listen and if they do they can be rewarded with phones - so I like that rule kinda, the only reason why I hate it is ‘cause other people don't know how to keep their phones away so then I don't get to use my phone!!!”
Instead of playing with our phones in class, preferably we would use it during the time that had been earned. Instead of keeping our phones in the lockers, students decided to keep their phones on them. Because of this, the Tok School secondary took two steps back!
