Finals Semester 1

It is almost the end of the semester, which means finals are coming up soon. Finals are either a big project or test that is worth 15% of students' grades. They can be a test, essay, article, or something else entirely. Each year, there are two semesters, so there are two finals in each class. Finals being such a big part of your grade will affect your grade and be the last chance you have to bring up your grade.

As students anticipate their finals, some share what they think. The students were asked a general question on how they thought they would do on the finals. Student Jadyn Kramer, a freshman, shared, “I feel like I am going to get a B in most of my classes because I am not ready.” others said that they thought they were going to do average and okayish.

Students' class finals that they were most nervous for varied. Rebekah Ames, a sophomore student, commented that she was most nervous for her civics final. Emma Coulman, a freshman, stated that she was most anxious for finals in Ms. Fifarek's, English class, and Ms. Lindsay's, Survey of Emerging Technology class. “ Probably math because it's not my strong suit and it's annoying”, Dawson Nelson, a sophomore, responded to what class finals she was most nervous for.

Two students shared that they were nervous in general for this semester's finals. Well, other students like Sarah Cramer, a Senior shared that she was not nervous. Then Dawson Nelson added, “I'm kinda nervous but not too much because I have done it before.”

Students who were questioned about how they did on last year's finals said they did average or well on their finals. Rebekah remarked that they were “decent, I ended with D’s and B’s, which is good enough for me.” The other responses of the students suggested that they didn't remember their scores from the last year’s finals.

Lastly, various students commented on whether they thought finals were hard or easy. About half of the students said that they were difficult. The other half of the students had several comments. One of the high school students replied, “Sometimes, I think packing all the work into a short time is stressful, but not necessarily hard. Another shared saying that it just depends on the class.

So Best wishes to all of the students with their finals, that hopefully the will be able to do good.
