Taylor Swift: The Music Industry

Taylor Alison Swift was born on December 13, 1989, in Reading, Pennsylvania. In 2006, at just 17 years old, she became the youngest person to reach No. 1 on the country charts with her song, "Our Song." Then, in 2009, she became the youngest person to win "Entertainer of the Year". In 2010, she became the youngest person to win Album of the Year at the Grammys for her album Fearless (now held by Billie Eilish). Since then, she has won twelve Grammys, 34 American Music Awards, and holds the record for the most No. 1 hits on Billboard's US digital song sales chart. Her song "All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault)" became the longest song the reach No. 1 at ten minutes long. She broke the record of the most streamed album in a day twice, first with Red (Taylor's Version), and then again with Midnights. When Midnights was released, Spotify actually was temporarily shut down as her album "broke the internet." With her album, she has also broken the record for the most streamed artist in a day on Spotify.

I am absolutely a Swiftie. I would sell my soul to be able to go to a Taylor Swift concert. I believe that she is one of the greatest artists of all time. I think she has, in my and many others' opinions, some of the greatest song bridges of all time. The bridges she sings often cause many Swiftes to scream the lyrics to an extreme extent. Taylor Swift is also an incredible lyricist, She has broken an obscene amount of records that nobody has come close to. Her music has so much diversity, yet it all is incredible. Not only has she transitioned from country to pop, but she also did it successfully and well. She has completely dominated the music industry for 17 years and will continue to do so as she releases Speak Now (Taylor's Version) on July 7th.
