Jeffry Alsup's Senior Spotlight

Jeffry Alsup is a senior at Tok High School and has attended here for 9 years. He was a part of student council, and was president his senior year. His sophomore year he was elected to the student representative position on the regional school board. He was the manager for the high school volleyball team and also played hockey while growing up. He was very involved in student council, running activities such as, assemblies, dances, and fundraisers, and attending conferences. Here are the questions I asked Jeffry Alsup and his responses back. 


  1. Who are your best friends throughout high school?

 Hannah, Holly, Kallie, Kaitlyn, and Ande


  1. Which school year was your favorite? 

My sophomore year. That year was the most fun and least stressful, and I got all As and took honors classes. 


  1. What is the most challenging task as a senior?

Fighting chronic senioritis. 


  1. What are three words to describe your high school experience?

Homely, interesting, and an opportunity 


  1. What was the most fun class you took

The best class was creative writing because it was so fun, and we made crazy stories about each other


  1. What is your favorite memory? 

My favorite memory is going to all the conferences I attended, like YLI and AASG, and getting the chance to step out of my comfort zone and improve my leadership skills. 


  1. Who is your favorite teacher?

A tie between Ms. Fiferak and Ms. Burnham. 


  1. Which teacher or staff member would you throw hands with? 

Jeff Robinson. period. 


  1. Who is your favorite underclassman?

Fav underclassmen are Skyla Rebekah, Ally and Cheyanne I guess and Emma I Guess  


  1. What was the most embarrassing thing that happened in school?

One time I was playing volleyball in the gym and I dove for the ball and my pants ripped down my butt crack and Tenyelle had to cover me so I could waddle to the bleachers to get my coat that I had to wear around my waist for the whole day. Or when the dress-up day was emo day, but it was career day, and all the presenters looked at me funny. 


  1. What is your favorite thing to do as a senior?

Sleeping in the library


  1. Who are you inspired by? 

I'm inspired by any person who is willing to advocate for other people. 


  1. What advice would you give to other students?

 Stay out of drama because it is unnecessary to get involved in.


  1.  Who are the Biggest haters in school?

Ms. Fiferak and ms. Burnham is are hatter, but the biggest hatter to ever walk the halls of Tok school is Kalie Champagne. 


  1. If you can change one school rule, what would it be?

That seniors who don't have class periods could have their phones because what else are we supposed to do with no class? 


  1. What's your dream job?

Being a super-rich sugar baby. 


  1. What is the most important thing you learned in high school?

Don't get in trouble and lose your phone for a whole year. 


  1. What is one of your favorite childhood memories?

Going to the coast with my family in Organ and finding agates, sand dollars. 


  1. What's your biggest accomplishment? 

 I haven't done this yet, but I'm bringing a resolution to AASG that has the potential to make a big impact, and I'm really excited about it. (Since this interview, he has presented this resolution and it has passed with unanimous consent!!!)
