The Tok School preschool class of 11 students graduated Thursday, May 8th at 10 am.
Ryker Jorgensen, a preschool student this year, was interviewed about his thoughts about his graduation. When asked if he had fun, he claimed “Yes. 10 times fun. I got a goodie bag full of candy and a Capri Sun!” Then he was asked about his summer plans and if he was excited for summer. He stated, “Yes I am excited to play outside.” When he was asked if he was happy about the school year being over with. He said “Yeah. I am excited about Kindergarten with Ms. Deb next year.” He was then asked about his current best friends. He said “Tryg is my best friend. Even when I beat him up. We play with magnets and legos.”
Shyanne Mccullough, the preschool teacher, was interviewed about her first year as a preschool teacher. When asked about her favorite thing about her students, she claimed “My favorite thing about this year's class was how many of my student's parents I knew. Some parents I went to school with, some I've known for years, some are actually related to me and I had my niece in my class this year. I have a lot of strong ties with my students through their parents, which I love.” She was then asked if she was excited to have a new group of kids next year, and she said “ I am SO excited for the next group of kiddos. I learned so much this year and I can't wait to see who will be in my next class.” Then she was asked about her experience at the preschool graduation. Her least favorite part about it was “standing in front of a room full of people and making a speech. I was SO nervous! I've never spoken to so many people before. I stuttered and felt my face get beat red. But, although it was scary I felt important and loved being able to speak from the heart about my little graduates.” Sheyannes' overall favorite part about it was “getting to see all my students in their gowns and watching them shine as I handed them their graduation certificates. They all looked SO cute!”
Congratulations to the preschool graduates of 2025!
