Trey's Wyoming Trip!

On May 6th Trey Hillary, a Sophomore, went to Pinedale, Wyoming to visit Mr. Hamners ranch. Trey learned ranching skills and ate Wyoming cuisine. He said, “it was all a great experience.”

Trey learns so many things in Pinedale Wyoming. He learned how to, “hold down a calf for branding.” and, ”branding.” His favorite part was, “Branding because I felt connected with the people at the branding place. And wrestling little cows.”

Next he learned how to deliver lambs. He said, “it was fun and interesting.” The lambs Trey helped deliver were triples! Trey also learned how to shear sheep as well.

He also met a handful of animals. Trey met cows, sheep, and horses. He met a barn cat and a ranch dog named Max. Trey did ranch work as well. He helped move hay and, “put lambs with their mom sheep and a heating lamp.” Lastly he carried a cow calf.

Trey then talked about what food he ate. He ate Butterscotch brownies, Banana pudding, and a jalapeno popper mac n cheese burger. Trey said he favorite food on the tip was, “jalapeno popper mac n cheese burger.”

Overall Trey enjoyed the Wyoming trip. He said, “I would definitely go back, it was fun.” sense Mr. Hamner is retiring this year, there won't be a Wyoming trip next, so students who went on this trip, like Trey, were lucky to experience that trip.
