On December 12th, 2024, Tok School held a Christmas concert. Students in preschool through 5th grade performed many songs as a whole group and with their individual grades. First the kindergartens performed “5 Little Snowmen” standing in a row. Next, the 1st graders performed “Jingle Bells.” Then 2nd grade performed “Rudolph the Red nosed Reindeer”. After that, 3rd grade and preschool students performed “Oh Christmas Tree.” The 4th graders performed the next song, “Jingle Bell Rock.” Then, after that, the 5th graders performed “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.” The last song performed was “We Wish you a Merry Christmas,” sung by the whole elementary.
This year's 5th graders performed their last Christmas concert, so I interviewed two 5th grades, Kensington Nelson and Oceana Tucker. Kensington was first. She first said her favorite part of the concert was, “when my class performed.” Next, she talked about her favorite song from the concert: “The song we performed was my favorite.” Lastly, she expressed her feelings about performing in her last Christmas concert: “Happy but sad.”
Oceana was next. She happily said her favorite part of the concert was, “probably when we did the dancing part!” Next, she replied that her favorite song in the concert was, “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.” Last but not least, she expressed her feelings about being in her last Christmas concert: “Honestly, kind of relieved.”
The Christmas concert was fun to attend and watch all of the little kids perform. Next year’s Christmas concert will hopefully be as good as this concert. Merry Christmas and Happy New Years!
